Dartmoor family camp week with nature, bushcraft and storytelling; August 4 – 10 2013 | Wildwise

This is a truly inspirational family experience based at a beautiful woodland site on Dartmoor. A truly wild and wonderful blend of nature awareness, bushcraft and storytelling in a friendly camp setting. The activities going on during the family camp week offer something for everyone.

Typical activities may include wildlife watching, bat-detecting and bug hunting at night, wild fire making and wild food gathering, silent movement, scavenger hunts, woodcraft, listening to stories/music around the campfire and den making.

This Wildwise familycamp runs between the 4 and 10 of August. Great value at just £250 for the 1st adult, £195 for the 2nd adult and £110 for children (5-16 years). Tents can also be hired.

Children can get up close and personal with the wild-side of the north Cornwall coast and countryside by coming face to face with the bugs, beasties and bats that live in and around the park’s own nature reserve. There is also the underwater life in the streams, rock pools and sands of nearby Crantock beach waiting to be discovered.   Adventure activities will include:

Summer holiday prices start from £469 for safari tent and £557 for a static caravan based on a 7 night stay for up to 6 people in August. The ranger-led sessions  will run between the weeks of the 26 July to August 30 2013.
